Innovate Alabama is launching two pilot programs aimed at developing workforce talent in cybersecurity and entrepreneurship for rural students in Alabama. The Alabama Cybersecurity Fellowship and Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities Program will provide hands-on learning experiences to students, helping them gain industry-relevant skills and fostering a sense of purpose within their local economies.
Expanding the CEO Program, which immerses students in real-world business environments and encourages entrepreneurship, into four additional communities will help drive local growth and contribute to the Alabama economy. The program allows students to start their own businesses and develop leadership skills while earning course credit.
The Alabama Cybersecurity Fellowship, in partnership with Advantage Consulting and Solutions, provides students with paid, work-based learning opportunities in cybersecurity and information technology. This program bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, preparing students for high-demand STEM careers and ensuring that Alabama remains competitive in the field of cybersecurity.
