Alabama volleyball wrapped up its 2024 season with a senior day ceremony honoring six seniors after falling to LSU in four sets at Foster Auditorium. The Crimson Tide’s senior class includes Francesca Bertucci, Chaise Campbell, Kayla Keshock, Malia Moore, Natalie Repetti, and Paris Thompson. Alabama started strong, with a hard-fought 25-23 win in the second set, but ultimately fell to LSU by scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-27, and 17-25. Paris Thompson led the team with 16 kills, while Callie Kieffer recorded her fourth double-double of the season. Head Coach Rashinda Reed expressed pride in the team and their accomplishments, stating that they have set the foundation for the future of Alabama volleyball. The program is described as heading in the right direction.
The match was a close battle, with both teams fighting hard in each set. LSU ultimately came out on top with a 3-1 match win. Despite the loss, Alabama’s seniors were recognized for their contributions to the program and their leadership on and off the court. The team and coaching staff are optimistic about the future of Alabama volleyball and are proud of the progress made this season. As the seniors move on, the team looks to continue building on the foundation they have set for the program.
