Alabama football continues to dominate the recruiting landscape with the commitment of four-star tight end Kaleb Edwards, marking the 21st commitment for the 2025 recruiting cycle. Edwards, standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 240 pounds, chose Alabama over several other top programs.
This commitment adds to Alabama’s impressive recruiting momentum, with head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff securing a total of 20 commitments by the end of June. Edwards, ranked as the No. 14 prospect in the 2025 class, is the first tight end commit for Alabama in this recruiting cycle. With key players like C.J. Dippre and Robbie Ouzts nearing the end of their eligibility, Edwards will bring youth to the tight end room under coach Bryan Ellis.
Alabama has been successful in recruiting California prospects, with Edwards joining the likes of Dijon Lee, Chuck McDonald, and Jackson Lloyd as recent commitments. The Crimson Tide also have their sights set on more top recruits in July, including four-star Justin Hill and five-star prospects Caleb Cunningham and Akylin Dear.
DeBoer has quickly made an impact on Alabama’s recruiting efforts, leading the team to the No. 2 ranked recruiting class for 2025, just behind Ohio State. With a strong recruiting class shaping up, Alabama looks poised to continue its success on the field under DeBoer’s leadership.
