Hezbollah has engaged in fire exchanges with Israel along the Lebanon border to support Hamas. The escalating violence raises concerns of a larger regional conflict. In the occupied West Bank, over 590 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the start of the war in Gaza. Most fatalities occurred during Israeli raids and protests. The Palestinians desire the West Bank, Gaza, and east Jerusalem for their future state. Israel captured these territories in the 1967 war. The constant violence and death toll on both sides demonstrate the widespread destruction and human suffering in the region.
